+  TUESDAY TUNE-UP  +

From: Pastor John
 (Tuesday Tune-up is going to take a summer break from June 30-July 28.  The Tune-ups will resume in August!)

"I am Trusting Thee, Lord Jesus"

When I woke up this morning I felt like I needed a number of things.  First, I thought I needed more sleep.  Second, I was pretty sure I needed coffee, but the more I thought about it, breakfast also seemed important.  Then there were all the tasks of the day that needed to be done.  Then, once I got my stomach out of its knot, I decided that what I really needed was more faith in Jesus.  I need someone I can trust - no matter what!

I am sure that is what Frances R. Havergal must have felt in 1874 when he penned the words to "I am Trusting Thee, Lord Jesus."
Take a look at these simply profound verses:

I am trusting thee, Lord Jesus, Trusting only Thee;
Trusting Thee for full salvation, Great and free.

I am trusting Thee for pardon; at Thy feet I bow,
For Thy grace and tender mercy Trusting now.

I am trusting Thee for cleansing In the crimson flood;
Trusting Thee to make me holy By Thy blood.

I am trusting Thee to guide me; Thou alone shall lead,
Every day and hour supplying All my need.

I am trusting Thee for power; Thine can never fail.
Words which Thou Thyself shall give must prevail.

I am trusting Thee, Lord Jesus; never let me fall.
I am trusting Thee forever and for all.

What powerful words of faith.  Maybe we could use them as a checklist of faith everyday when we get up.  You know, the things we really need today!

Don't forget there's Homework:

+Yes, I know it is a busy day, but take a moment and list out the "trust" items in the song.  Then put them into your day!

+Why not make this a "Summer of Trust," where we focus our efforts on trusting Jesus "forever and for all."

For your prayers today:

+Pray for Lisa and Ben Tilley and their triplets born 12 week prematurely.  Pray for their health and growth, and rejoice that through baptism they are safely in our Father's hands.

+Pray for our District Convention that begins this Sunday evening.  Pray that God's will is done in the Michigan District.
Jesus is the Answer!
