Well, we have talked about it, argued about it, worried about it, gotten angry about it, and now it is time to do it - Vote!
As you do, let's pray:
Father God, we confess You to be the only true God. All of our human endeavors prosper and make sense only when they flow from Your hand of gracious love. Today we place in Your hands this election, our nation, and our lives. We pray that you will guide and direct our future in the ways of peace and righteousness. We confess our sins as individuals and as a nation. Mercifully, forgive us and restore to the joy of Your salvation. Above all, we pray that You so guide the events of today that we the Church are given opportunity, wisdom and courage to boldly proclaim Your saving Gospel. To the eternal benefit of Your people and the eternal praise of Your holy name. Through the merits of Christ alone we lay this petition before You. Amen.
