Hope Lutheran Church

+ Services at Hope +

Days and Times
Sundays - 8am and 10:45am (held in the Family Life Center)
Mondays - 7pm (in the Chapel)
All three services offer Holy Communion.

Type of Services
We worship with six different styles of services:

  • Order of Baptismal Remembrance - A blended service that focuses on our entrance into and life within God's Kingdom through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.
  • Order of Confession and Praise - A blended service that retain a traditional liturgical format but incorporate some more current elements of music and some of Luther's confessions.
  • Order of Divine Service II - Long-standing traditional service of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
  • Order of Music and Praise - A blended service that retain a traditional liturgical format but incorporate some more current elements of music and praise.
  • Study Service - A contemporary format that is constructed around studies on the three biblical lessons for the day.
  • The Lutheran Hymnal (page 15) - Long-standing traditional service of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Music
Our music is selected from the Lutheran Hymnal (blue cover) and other various praise song books, such as "Sing to the Lord," "Praise and Worship," and "Lutheran Worship."

+ Visiting Hope +

We realize that it can be scary to walk into a new place, especially if you've never been to a church before. We would like to make it as easy and non-threatening as possible, so here's some basic information about what to expect when you visit Hope for the first time...

Parking and Entering the Building
We have a large parking lot on east side of the building, and additional parking on both the north and south sides.
There are two entrances to the church, one on the south side and the other on the east, and both have wheelchair ramps.

Family Life Center Entrance
The Family Life Center is the area where the church services are held on Sunday mornings. It also is used for other special events and holiday services. The entrance is on the east side of the building (in the back).

Chapel Entrance
The Chapel is used for smaller church services. Monday night services are held in the Chapel. The entrance is on the south side of the building and provides the easiest access to the elevator.

Upon entering the building...
Family Life Center: Once you enter the Family Life Center (east side), you will walk down the steps to the main worship area. The church office and Sunday School classrooms are located on the top level, which you will walk up the stairs when your first enter the building.

Chapel: Once you enter the Chapel door (south side), you will need walk towards your right to enter the worship area.

Restrooms: The restrooms are located on the south side of the Family Life Center on the lower level. When you walk down the stairs into the worship area, the restrooms will be on your left.

Worship Service
The atmosphere in worship is relaxed. There is no dress code. You will see men and women wearing jeans or shorts, business suits, and everything in between. Children of all ages are welcome. You can sit anywhere you feel comfortable.

As you enter the worship area, there will be ushers passing out worship bulletins. The worship bulletin is used for the entire service and lists every part of the worship service. All responses and songs are printed in the worship bulletin. For kids, there are activity packets that they can use during the service. They are located in the back of the Family Life Center. If you cannot find them, you can ask an usher to help you. When the service is over, please return the activity pack to the area where you found them.

Our worship service includes Holy Communion every week. If you have been baptized in the name of the Triune God, are in agreement with our Lutheran beliefs, and have been confirmed we welcome you to commune with us. Please read the information on the Holy Communion web page for more information.

If you have any questions, please ask anyone you see or contact the church office prior to attending.
